Spiral Binding
Now to complete the picture add some spiral rings to hold the notepad together. Create a new layer and use the rectangular marquee tool to draw a thin rectangle. Fill the rectangle with either white or a light grey color.
Right Click on the layer in the layers panel and choose Blending Options. Next use the following settings for drop shadow, bevel and contour
Now duplicate the layer, shift the ring a bit to the right. Then create another dublicate layer and another. To speed up the process, once you have a few layers of rings you can merge it into one big layer and then duplicate the merged layer. Repeat this till you have nice row of rings.
Extension
Now you have a blank notepad, you can add writing and transform it in other ways. Just make sure to rasterize the layer styles before you rotate or scale the notepad, or else the lined paper patter will mess up.
